Convert your images in 4 simple steps

Choose the output format from the dropdown. Set quality and other options from the Settings panel.

Hit Convert All to batch-process all files at once. Up to 3 files convert in parallel so large queues finish fast.

Download files individually or grab them all as a ZIP. Everything runs in your browser — no uploads to any server.
JPEG is the most common image format on the web, but it is not always the right tool for the job. Convert your JPEG photos to PNG for transparency support, to WebP for a 25–30% smaller file size on modern websites, or to BMP when you need completely uncompressed pixel data. All conversion happens locally in your browser — fast, private, and free.

There is no technical difference — JPG and JPEG are the same format. The .jpg extension became common on Windows because early file systems limited extensions to three characters. .jpeg is simply the full abbreviation of Joint Photographic Experts Group.
Converting JPEG to PNG does not recover detail already lost to JPEG compression, but it does stop further quality loss. Any subsequent saves or edits of the PNG file will not degrade quality further, which is why this is useful for images you plan to edit repeatedly.
Instagram accepts JPEG natively, so no conversion is needed for uploading. If you want to edit the image first and avoid re-compression artefacts, work in PNG and convert back to JPEG only as the final export step.
Yes, and it is highly recommended. WebP files are 25–35% smaller than JPEG at the same visual quality. All modern browsers support WebP. You can serve WebP to modern browsers using a <picture> element with a JPEG fallback for older browsers.
No. JPEG does not support transparency (alpha channel). If you need transparent areas in an image, convert to PNG or WebP, both of which support full alpha transparency.
