Convert iPhone HEIC photos to BMP (Bitmap) format for use in Windows applications, legacy software, and workflows that require uncompressed pixel data. BMP stores every pixel without compression, making it the right choice when downstream software cannot handle compressed formats. Free, no upload, processed in your browser.

BMP is appropriate when you need uncompressed pixel data — for example, feeding images into scientific imaging software, machine vision systems, or legacy applications that only accept BMP. For general sharing or web use, JPEG is a much better choice.
Dramatically larger. A typical iPhone HEIC photo might be 3–5 MB. The same image as BMP will be 15–25 MB because BMP stores every pixel without compression. Ensure you have enough storage and that your target application can handle large BMP files.
32-bit BMP supports an alpha channel for transparency, but support varies by software. If you need reliable transparency, convert to PNG instead — it has universal transparency support and much smaller file sizes than BMP.
Yes. The still image component of a HEIC Live Photo is converted to BMP. The motion (video) component of Live Photos is separate and is not included in the HEIC file itself.
Yes. AppyGrid tools are free to use for personal and commercial purposes with no attribution requirement, no watermarks, and no file limits.
