Yes. PNG supports full alpha transparency, so transparent areas in your SVG (like the background of a logo) remain transparent in the PNG output. This is the main reason PNG is preferred over JPEG for SVG rasterization.
Ensure your SVG file defines large dimensions in its width/height attributes or viewBox. For a print-quality logo, set the SVG dimensions to 2000×2000 or larger. The PNG will be rendered at exactly those pixel dimensions.
SVG is preferred for websites because it scales perfectly at any size and is tiny in file size. PNG is the right choice when the platform does not support SVG — email clients, some CMS systems, and document editors. Provide both: SVG for web, PNG for everything else.
Yes. Convert your SVG icon to PNG at multiple sizes (16px, 32px, 64px, 128px, 256px, 512px) for use across different contexts. Most platforms accept PNG icons, and starting from SVG ensures the sharpest possible output at any size.
Gradients, drop shadows, filters, and other SVG effects are rendered into the PNG exactly as they appear in the browser. All visual elements including blends and transparent effects are rasterized accurately.
