Convert WebP images to BMP (Bitmap) format for compatibility with Windows applications, legacy software, and development workflows that require uncompressed pixel data. BMP is Windows' native raster format, accepted by virtually all Windows software. Our converter handles the conversion in your browser — no upload, no software, completely free.

The primary reason is software compatibility. If a legacy Windows application, device, or script requires BMP input and you have WebP files, this converter bridges the gap. For general use, PNG or JPEG is almost always a better choice than BMP.
If the source WebP is lossless, converting to BMP is pixel-perfect. If the WebP is lossy (which most web WebP files are), the existing compression artefacts are preserved in the BMP — but no additional quality loss is introduced by the BMP format itself.
Significantly larger than the WebP. BMP stores raw, uncompressed pixels — a 200 KB WebP image might become 5–15 MB as BMP. Ensure your target system has adequate storage and can handle large BMP files.
Standard 24-bit BMP does not support transparency. Transparent areas from your WebP will be replaced with a white background in the BMP. 32-bit BMP technically supports alpha, but software support is inconsistent.
Yes. Upload multiple WebP files and convert them all to BMP in one session. Download individually or as a ZIP archive.
