Convert TIFF images to WebP for modern web delivery. WebP provides excellent compression (25–35% better than JPEG) with full browser support, making it ideal for publishing professional TIFF photography online. WebP is better for modern websites. It produces files 25–35% smaller than JPEG at the same quality, directly improving page load speed and Core Web Vitals. All modern browsers support WebP. Use the HTML <picture> element to serve JPEG as a fallback for older browsers if needed.
WebP at 85–90% quality is indistinguishable from the original TIFF in typical viewing conditions on screen. The TIFF's advantages (HDR, 16-bit colour depth, no compression) are primarily relevant for print production. For screen display and web use, WebP quality is excellent.
Yes. Camera TIFF exports or scanned TIFFs can be converted to WebP directly. For RAW files from cameras, you would need to export to TIFF first (via Lightroom, Capture One, or similar), then convert to WebP here.
Yes, within the limits of standard sRGB colour space. WebP uses 8 bits per channel (same as standard web JPEG). If your TIFF uses a wide-gamut colour profile (AdobeRGB, ProPhoto), colours will be mapped to sRGB during conversion, which may slightly affect colour for wide-gamut displays.
Yes. All conversion happens locally in your browser. Your TIFF files are never uploaded to our servers — not even temporarily. This is critical for client photography and commercial work.
